My name is Jonathan Trauner. I will be 30 this May 15th 2024 in Jerusalem. I work at Mobileye in Jerusalem. I have Autism. I am a poet artist and performing artist and I love Gal Gadot and Taylor Swift. On June 18th 2023, I got hit by a huge tour bus and I only broke my left collarbone and did not die. I finished recovering end of August 2023 and my bone returned back to normal and to a completely unbroken unified state beginning of December 2023. My greatest dream come true is to become the first openly autistic poet performing artist and artist with Autism to win my Emmy Grammy Oscar and Tony film and acting awards in Los Angeles California in 2025, or in 2028 at the 100th Academy Awards. #NEVERGIVEUP. This is what's amazing about watching these types of 'script to screen' comparisons; you see how the actors take what's on the page that's already great, and amp it up to a whole other level. THAT'S what makes Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone so talented in this scene in particular. They didn't even make up new dialogue that was more grandiose or eloquent, they just made the scene feel more REAL. And that's all they needed to do to make the scene that much better. The dialogue goes from being a scripted conversation to a realistic conversation, complete with interruptions, tripping over words, and natural reactions. They got the gist of the scene. Ryan Gosling spices up the dialogue with his improvisation skills, and Emma Stone reacts naturally to him with her acting focus skills, and even improvises a bit herself. Simple, pure beauty in this scene.

I just finished watching the movie on Amazon Prime... And this is the first time that I am watching Sheila Vand... What a power packed performance with minimum dialogues!! She is extremely talented... Her eyes speak volumes... Her body language.... inexplicably expressive.. Mark my words... This woman will gift the film industry a lot of good films in the future... My best wishes for her upcoming career....

I always thought that this scene seemed to suggest Chigurh as a literal 'Satan' type figure (or at least his embodiment); it seems to fit eerily well if you posit that to be the case. Consider: [Satan] "What's the most you ever lost on a coin toss?" He's then forcefully insistent that the Proprietor is the one to 'make the call', but is evasive about what is being gambled... [Proprietor] "Well-we need to know what is is we're callin' for here." [Satan] *ignoring the question* "You need to call it. I can't call it for you. It wouldn't be fair. It wouldn't even be right."-it's as though there is some fundamental "rule" or ethic that even he, Chighur/Satan, either doesn't want to violate or is unable to. [Proprietor] "I didn't put nothin' up." [Satan] "Yes you did. You been putting it up your whole life. You just didn't know it."--this "it" might be the man's soul (his eternity)? Again, accepting the premise, then it fits that he would have been 'putting it up his whole life' unawares, able as he was to be killed or die at any moment throughout. [Satan] "You know what date is on this coin?"--this "date" could be a metaphor for or analogous to the man's (and anyone's) birth "date", and the coin and its travels, their life... "Nineteen fifty-eight. It's been traveling twenty-two years to get here. And now it's here... And it's either heads or tails (a la: 'heaven' or 'hell'), and YOU have to say. Call it." [Proprietor] "Look... I need to know what I stand to win." [Satan] "Everything..."

Interesting how the script doesn't specify that Anton chokes with one of the cashews when the clerk says that the business was originally from his wife's father, normally something that specific would be written there. I assume that's Javier improvising a bit to show how disgusted he is that the clerk would do something like that, but idk.
